This role acts as the central coordination point between the Front Desk, Housekeeping, Reservations, and Revenue teams to facilitate efficient room assignments, upgrades, and special requests while optimizing room revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily room allocations and assignments based on arrival/departure reports, guest preferences, and room availability.
  • Coordinate closely with Housekeeping to ensure clean rooms are prioritized and ready for guest check-ins.
  • Manage and optimize room inventory, including out-of-order rooms and upgrades, to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Ensure all VIP, loyalty program, and special guest requests are met and rooms are pre-blocked as appropriate.
  • Communicate effectively with the Reservations and Sales teams regarding group room blocks and special allocations.
  • Assist the Front Desk in resolving room-related issues or last-minute changes with minimal impact to the guest experience.
  • Monitor same-day arrivals and forecasted occupancy to make strategic room allocation decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures, including safety and guest privacy protocols.
  • Prepare and distribute reports related to room status, inventory, and occupancy forecasts.
  • Participate in daily departmental briefings and maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel events and promotions. Does this sound like you?
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or business-related degree is a plus.
  • Previous hotel front office or reservations experience required (1-2 years).
  • Knowledge of property management systems (e.g., OnQ, PEP, PMS) preferred.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on guest service excellence.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and shifts as needed.
