Description:
The Rooms Controller will work in partnership with Housekeeping, Front Desk, Engineering, Butlers, VIP, and other operational departments with a focus on managing the hotel's room inventory to maximize revenue and Guest experience. Ensure the Hotel is set up for success by appropriately blocking Guest rooms, assigning early check-ins, updating Hotsos requests, acknowledging special requests, and processing reservations. Manage room inventory including availability, accommodations and tour requests. Communicate Guest requests, rack management changes and special room block needs to Housekeeping department. Manage Out of Order room's inventory, projects and following up with departments such as Housekeeping, Engineering, and Front Desk. Be familiar group resumes to ensure are managing all Guest expectations and requests. Act as a liaison between Guests and all other property departments. Resolve Guest challenges and special requests within limits of authority and empowerment and in a timely manner. Ensure that all Guest and employee interactions are in accordance with standards. Conducts shift rounds to include inspection of all applicable public areas. Accurately completes shift checklist. Responsible for thorough completion of special projects/assignments provided by senior management.
Qualifications:
1-2 years prior Front Desk experience required. Extensive experience with computers and telephones. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excel skills with ability to create basic spreadsheets. Experience with property management systems (LMS preferred). #LI-DNI
