The successful candidate for this role will have a proven track record of developing a team to provide exceptional service, is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally. The Group Rooms Coordinator plays an integral role in partnering with our Group Sales team, Reservations team and Front Desk to coordinate the group rooms booking process. They ensure that each of our groups has an exceptional experience with organizing and booking their group blocks. They are responsible for creating a positive guest interaction that will build the guests anticipation for their upcoming visit. They must also be knowledgeable on providing accurate information to our groups available rooms, and special events going on during their stay. If you have experience in a hotel/resort reservations team, or front desk team and enjoy engaging with people from all over the world and making meaningful connections, as well as taking steps to "WOW" people, we want you! Your Role:
Prepare and maintain group room blocks and master accounts in the property management system Coordinate with Sales team to ensure all group details are prepared and set up for their arrival. Set up billing patterns and ensure the accuracy of group billing and payments. Answer the telephone and greet prospective guests in a friendly manner using clear, verbal communication. Provide accurate information regarding availability, accommodation types, transportation to and from hotel, rate, etc. Read, retrieve, communicate and verify information including confirmation number to caller. Input and retrieve data using a computer reservation system and utilizing codes for efficiency. Answer questions regarding hotel facilities and services, local attractions, directions, etc. Know, understand, and communicate applicable deposit and guarantee policies as requested. Handle complaints in a tactful manner and negotiate resolutions such as alternative accommodations when hotel is sold out. Interacts with staff in a polite and respectful manner. Other duties as assigned. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays What are we looking for? High school diploma or equivalent Previous hotel or resort experience preferred A strong desire to make an impact on other people An outgoing and engaging personality Computer skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced setting Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Compensation:
