Job Description
Job Overview Best Western Plus in North Canton is looking for a dependable, friendly, and professional Front Desk Agent to join our team. This position is the first point of contact for our guests and plays an important role in creating a welcoming and positive hotel experience. We are looking for someone who is reliable, comfortable working independently, and genuinely enjoys helping people. Job Responsibilities Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner. Check guests in and out accurately and efficiently. Make, modify, and cancel reservations. Answer incoming phone calls and assist with reservation and hotel inquiries. Process payments, credit cards, cash transactions, and deposits accurately. Maintain an accurate front desk cash drawer. Assist guests with questions, requests, directions, and local information. Handle guest concerns professionally and work to resolve issues quickly. Communicate maintenance and housekeeping issues to the appropriate department. Coordinate with housekeeping regarding room status and guest needs. Promote Best Western Rewards and assist with guest enrollments. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area. Complete required shift reports, logs, and paperwork. Follow hotel policies regarding guest privacy, room keys, payments, safety, and security. Communicate important information to the next shift and hotel management. Respond appropriately to emergencies and unusual situations. Perform other reasonable front desk duties as assigned by management. What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual with a strong attendance record. Friendly, professional, and guest-service focused. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Comfortable using computers and learning hotel software. Able to multitask and remain calm during busy periods. Able to handle guest complaints professionally. Detail-oriented and able to accurately handle money and payments. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Hotel or customer-service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Schedule Hotel operations are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week . Applicants should have reasonable scheduling flexibility.
Typical shifts include:
7:00 AM- 3:00 PM 3:00 PM
- 11:00 PM 11:00 PM
- 7:00 AM Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
