DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Must be 21 years of age or older to apply for this position. Front Desk Associate Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests of the hotel. Actively look for ways to assist guests. Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using the PMS computer (PMS = property management system). Computes bill, collects payments and makes change for guests using cash and credit cards. Makes and confirms reservations. Posts charges, such as room, telephone or faxes to guest ledger manually or using the computer. Transmits and receives messages using telephone and telephone switchboard. Issues room keys to guests. Date-stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail and messages. Answers inquiries related to hotel rates, physical layout and services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions. Complete daily shift reports. Understand, participate in, and execute emergency procedures as necessary. Ensure work area and lobby cleanliness is maintained. Help wash, dry, fold, and shelf laundry from the day. Night Auditor Balancing the daily transactions, running the night audit. Anwering phones and guest questions Making reservations Checking in late arrrivals and checking out guests Help complete wash, dry, fold, and shelf laundry from the day. Setting up and filling breakfast. Light chores sweeping mopping dusting
