Lobby Attendant Academy House Condominiums - 1.0 Philadelphia, PA Job Details Part-time | Full-time $16 - $20 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Resident rapport building Ability to follow instructions Full Job Description Position Summary The Lobby Attendant is a highly visible member of the Academy House team and is responsible for providing courteous, professional, and attentive service to residents, guests, and visitors while assisting with the safe and efficient operation of the building entrance. The Lobby Attendant serves as an important first point of contact for residents and visitors. The position requires exceptional customer service, professionalism, awareness of building activity, and the ability to interact appropriately with residents, guests, vendors, contractors, delivery personnel, and emergency responders. The Lobby Attendant is expected to maintain a welcoming, upbeat presence at the building entrance while remaining alert to security, safety, and operational concerns and promptly reporting issues to the Front Desk and Management. Qualifications Required
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, security, residential building, hotel, or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally pleasant manner with residents, guests, coworkers, and vendors.
  • Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements The position requires the ability to:
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Be able to climb short flight of stairs to mezzanine.
  • Bend, reach, and move as necessary to perform routine duties.
  • Perform other physical duties reasonably associated with the position, such as assisting residents with heavy packages. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Resident and Guest Services
  • Greet residents, guests, visitors, and vendors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Activate automatic doors for known residents and guests as appropriate.
  • Assist residents with packages, carts, recycling, and other items when appropriate.
  • Maintain a professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor at all times.
  • Obtain packages from package lockers upon request from residents. Access Control
  • Monitor activity at the building entrance and remain alert to unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Confirm that individuals entering the building are authorized to do so when required by building procedures.
  • Direct visitors, guests, contractors, delivery personnel, and vendors to the Front Desk when registration, identification, or other authorization is required.
  • After elevator fob system is installed, enable elevator access to visitors, guests, contractors, delivery personnel, and vendors who have been authorized entry by the Front Desk Lobby and Entrance Appearance
  • Monitor the entrance for spills, debris, damaged equipment, lighting issues, or other conditions requiring attention. Report items to housekeeping and/or maintenance as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining an orderly traffic flow in lobby.
  • Ensure doors and entrance areas are operated in accordance with building procedures.
Work Environment The Lobby Attendant works primarily in the building entrance and lobby area and may be exposed to varying indoor and outdoor temperatures, weather conditions, vehicle traffic, and routine activity associated with a high-rise residential condominium. The position may require working weekends, holidays, evenings, or other schedules based on Academy House's operational requirements. Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 40.0 per week
