Ramen Akira is looking for a Table-Side Chef & Guest Experience Lead to pioneer a brand-new dining experience. In this role, you aren't hidden behind a kitchen wall, you are the face of the meal. We blend authentic Japanese ramen traditions with bold Texas flavors, and you will be the one bringing that fusion to life right at the guest's table. From the initial greeting to the final touches of our signature ramen bowl, you will have total ownership of the guest's journey, combining top-tier cooking with high-energy hospitality.
The Vibe:
Part culinary storyteller, part master chef. You'll be working within a guided, evolving menu, using your creativity to delight guests and manage a small, tight-knit kitchen team. Key Responsibilities Table-Side Showmanship & Guest Ownership Own the
Guest Experience:
Act as the primary host, guide, and chef for your tables, ensuring an unforgettable, interactive dining experience from start to finish.
Table-Side Execution:
Prepare, finish, and present signature dishes to guests, explaining the fusion of Japanese techniques and Texas flavors.
Storytelling & Engagement:
Read the room to deliver personalized hospitality, answering questions about ingredients, techniques, and the inspiration behind the menu.
Culinary Innovation & Execution Flavor Fusion:
Develop and innovate daily specials or menu items that seamlessly combine Japanese ramen traditions with Texas-style adaptations.
High-Quality Prep:
Cook and prepare high-quality broths, noodles, and toppings, ensuring consistency, safety, and exceptional flavor profiles using standard kitchen appliances.
Inventory & Cost Control:
Manage stock levels, reduce waste, coordinate with purchasing team, and keep food costs optimized.
Kitchen Leadership Supervise Operations:
Lead, mentor, and coordinate a small kitchen team of 1-3 members to keep back-of-house operations flawless while you are at the table.
Sanitation Standards:
Maintain pristine kitchen and table-side sanitation, strictly complying with all local food safety regulations.

Outgoing, charismatic, and comfortable cooking while conversing. You genuinely love people and thrive in an interactive environment.
Culinary Foundation:
Experience in culinary arts (entry-level welcome if backed by high drive) with a deep passion for Japanese cuisine and Texas comfort food.
