Aloft Houston Shenandoah is seeking friendly, dependable, and energetic Front Desk Agents to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, communicates professionally, and can create a welcoming experience for every guest. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be one of the first and last people our guests interact with. You will assist guests throughout their stay while helping maintain the upbeat, modern atmosphere of the Aloft brand. Responsibilities Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service Complete guest check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, and key issuance Process payments, deposits, and incidental charges accurately Answer telephone calls and respond to guest questions Assist with reservations, room changes, and special requests Explain hotel amenities, services, policies, and local attractions Enroll and recognize Marriott Bonvoy members Communicate room status and guest needs to housekeeping and maintenance Resolve guest concerns promptly and involve management when appropriate Maintain an organized and professional front desk and lobby area Complete shift reports, cash-handling duties, and daily paperwork Follow hotel safety, security, and guest privacy procedures Assist other departments when necessary to support hotel operations Qualifications Previous hotel or customer-service experience is preferred Marriott or hotel property-management-system experience is a plus Strong communication and problem-solving skills Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude Dependable attendance and reliable transportation Comfortable using computers, email, and standard office equipment Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays What We're Looking For We are looking for team members who are dependable, positive, attentive, and ready to take ownership of the guest experience.
