JOB SUMMARY
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests, handling check-in and check-out procedures, and managing reservations. This role serves as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience while maintaining hotel policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet guests warmly and assist with check-in and check-out processes. Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally. Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently. Maintain accurate records of guest accounts, payments, and room assignments. Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services. Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a courteous and timely manner. Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and guest satisfaction. Manage billing, process payments, and resolve discrepancies. Follow hotel security and safety policies to ensure guest and staff well-being. Uphold brand standards and deliver a high level of customer service at all times. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality is a plus. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in hotel management software and reservation systems. Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience in a hotel front desk or guest service role. Multilingual abilities are a plus. Strong organizational and time-management skills. The Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in creating a positive guest experience and ensuring smooth front office operations.
