Job Description

Join Our Team! We are excited to be expanding and are looking for friendly, dependable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Front Desk Agents for a newly acquired hotel. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a hotel transition from the beginning and help shape the guest experience. Interviews and initial training will take place at our Best Western Plus Landmark Hotel in Ballard, Utah. Team members will receive hands-on training in hotel operations, guest service, and daily front desk responsibilities before transitioning to the Comfort Inn. Additional training will be provided on the Comfort Inn's Property Management System (PMS) to ensure you feel confident and prepared before opening. Responsibilities Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude while creating a positive first impression. Efficiently check guests in and out using the hotel's Property Management System (PMS). Answer incoming phone calls, respond to emails, and assist guests with reservations, questions, and requests. Process reservations, cancellations, modifications, and room assignments accurately. Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction. Process payments, balance cash drawers, and follow all cash-handling procedures. Maintain accurate guest records and ensure confidentiality of guest information. Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure room readiness and respond to guest needs. Monitor hotel security by following safety procedures and controlling access when appropriate. Assist with breakfast preparation, stocking, cleanup, laundry, and light housekeeping support as needed. Keep the front desk, lobby, and public areas clean, organized, and welcoming. Complete shift reports, daily checklists, and other administrative tasks. Promote hotel amenities, loyalty programs, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience. Work cooperatively with all departments to ensure smooth daily hotel operations. Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the hotel. Qualifications Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred but not required. Hotel front desk or Property Management System (PMS) experience is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment. Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and overnight shifts as needed. Must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
