Job Description
3pm- 11pm, but may require filling in alternate shifts. You will be required to work weekend and holidays. We are looking for candidates who have standout talent in guest services. Does the idea of someone asking you for recommendations for things to do and/or places to dine spark your interest? If so, we want you on our team! As a member of the Front Desk Team your responsibilities will include: Maintain positive guest relations at all times. No matter how busy it is and/or whatever time of day always acknowledge guests. Be sure to respond promptly to any inquiries and/or requests. When and where possible, anticipate guests' needs. Maintain knowledge at all times of the hotel's features/services including hours of operation. Stay mindful of hotel's room rates including special packages and promotions as well as daily house count and expected arrivals/departures. Keep aware and on top of any scheduled daily activities. Answer telephone calls within appropriate time considerations and using correct greeting and telephone etiquette. Process all guest check-ins/ Process all check-outs with utmost accuracy and efficiency. When necessary, obtain information for guest credit/payment method and input into system; collect cash when designated. Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e., special requests, amenity delivery). Resolve discrepancies on the room status report with Housekeeping. Accept and record wake-up call requests. Monitor, send and distribute guest faxes. Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction. Handle overbooked or walked in guests. Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of monies. Keep bank secure at all times. Process corrections and/or adjustments accurately when necessary. Post miscellaneous incidental charges such as any market charges and/or guest dry cleaning charges.
