The Guest Services Representative will report to the Front Office Manager and will work closely with the Front Office team as well as other departments of the hotel. The successful candidate will be welcoming with a friendly attitude, be team orientated, be efficient, and be a good problem solver. The hospitality industry is unique in that it requires commitment 24 hours a day. Providing our guests with a great experience and anticipating needs to achieve the best possible service in the most caring and courteous manner so they will want to come back for more. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Greet guests and complete the registration process including: inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirmation of guest information and room rate, selection of rooms, coding electronic keys, creating reservations, monitoring noise levels and checking indoor pool area, group arrivals/checkouts (with luggage handling) Assist guests with check-out including: ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted for, using the point-of-sale system, handling money, processing credit and debit cards, accepting and recording various forms of payment Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel information as well as information/directions to local attractions, including but not limited to, room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area, other general product knowledge, and answer all guest inquiries Respond to guest inquires and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner Resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction, as needed Receive, input, retrieve and relay messages to guests and staff members as needed Light Housekeeping and Maintenance as needed. Operate multi-line telephone Must be able to: Work 8-hour shifts Stand and walk frequently throughout the workday Lift, lower, and bend up to 30 pounds occasionally
