The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for an Engineering Supervisor to join the team ! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever. Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. As an Engineering Supervisor , you're not just overseeing daily operations of physical building and systems maintenance and repairs - you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest. Here's what you'll do during a typical day: Ensure facility safety and compliance: Support the maintenance of the hotel's buildings, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations Supervise maintenance operations: Assign and oversee daily maintenance tasks, ensuring thorough documentation of completed work in the property management system Oversee contractor work: Supervise external contractors and inspect completed work for quality and compliance Respond to service requests: Ensure maintenance requests, guest concerns, and emergency situations are addressed promptly and efficiently Supervise and develop the team: Train, schedule, and supervise maintenance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work and performance
