HOURLY PAY RATE
$23-$24 The Sacramento Marriott Rancho Cordova is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Front Office Manager to join their Front Office Team. Our 265-room property has just completed a full top-to-bottom renovation, including 13,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of a revitalized property by leading front office excellence, mentoring team members, enhancing guest satisfaction, and helping reestablish a reputation for exceptional hospitality within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. This position is responsible for providing our guests with excellent service at the front desk from making the reservation to departure. Responsible for aiding with supervision for all guest service agents. Responsible for dealing with guest complaints, guest credit problems, and assisting with training of all guest service agents. To sell guest rooms, food & beverage outlets and seasonal hotel promotions. Must coordinate the response to the guest issue and then follow up with the guest to ensure satisfaction with the result. This is a full-time hourly manager position that will work AM and/or PM shifts including weekends and assist in covering overnight shifts as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in leading daily Front Office operations to ensure exceptional guest service from arrival through departure. Supervise, coach, and support Front Desk associates, fostering a culture of hospitality, accountability, and teamwork. Resolve guest concerns, service recovery situations, and billing or credit-related issues in a timely and professional manner. Monitor guest satisfaction and implement service excellence standards to enhance the overall guest experience. Coordinate staffing levels, scheduling, and shift coverage to meet operational demands and occupancy needs. Conduct pre-shift meetings, communicate operational updates, and ensure seamless coordination with other hotel departments. Train, onboard, and develop Front Office team members, ensuring compliance with brand standards, hotel policies, and safety procedures. Support revenue generation efforts by promoting guest room upgrades, hotel amenities, loyalty programs, and special promotions. Oversee cash handling, room account reconciliation, and adherence to front desk financial and security procedures. Assist department leadership with administrative duties, performance management, inventory control, reporting, and operational audits.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPEREINCE
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred. 2-4 years of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry Minimum of 2 years of Front Desk Agent or Guest Service Agent experience in the hospitality industry. Strong leadership, team development, and guest service skills. Experience handling guest concerns and service recovery. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
