Hotel Operations Manager Comfort Inn Gurnee Gurnee, IL Job Details Full-time From $50,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Operations management Inventory management Hiring Team management Recruiting Full Job Description Hotel Operations Manager Comfort Inn Gurnee is looking for a reliable, hands-on Hotel Operations Manager to help oversee day-to-day hotel operations and support a positive guest experience. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing people, solving problems quickly, and jumping in where needed. The manager will help lead the front desk team, support housekeeping and maintenance coordination, and work at least one front desk shift as part of the weekly schedule. Responsibilities Oversee daily hotel operations and help ensure a smooth guest experience Manage, train, and support front desk staff Work scheduled front desk shifts, including check-ins, check-outs, guest questions, and reservations Handle guest concerns and resolve issues professionally Create and manage front desk schedules Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms and common areas are guest-ready Monitor cleanliness, service standards, and overall property presentation Support hiring, onboarding, and staff accountability Assist with inventory, vendor coordination, and basic operational needs Review guest feedback and help improve online reviews and guest satisfaction Ensure hotel policies, safety procedures, and brand standards are followed Communicate regularly with ownership on property needs, staffing, and guest issues Qualifications Prior hotel, hospitality, or front desk management experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable supervising staff and holding team members accountable Ability to stay calm and professional during guest issues or busy periods Organized, dependable, and proactive Comfortable using hotel reservation/property management systems Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or holidays as needed Must be able to stand for extended periods and assist with basic property needs when necessary Schedule Full-time position Must be available for some weekends and holidays Includes at least one regular front desk shift per week Schedule may vary based on hotel needs Pay $50,000 Potential for performance-based bonuses tied to guest satisfaction, reviews, cleanliness, and property performance.
