Operations Supervisor Holiday Inn Express Hillside, IL Job Details Full-time $20 - $22 an hour 22 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Operational analysis Teamwork Operational management Bachelor's degree Business Administration Property management Full Job Description Operational Leadership Oversee day-to-day hotel operations including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering/Maintenance, and other operational departments. Ensure consistent execution of brand standards, service expectations, and operational procedures. Conduct regular property walks and inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence. Resolve escalated guest concerns and implement service recovery strategies. Maintain compliance with all company policies, brand standards, OSHA regulations, ADA requirements, and local/state health regulations. Financial Management Assist in preparation and management of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor departmental expenses and labor costs to achieve financial targets. Analyze operational reports including labor, productivity, guest satisfaction, and revenue performance. Identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiencies. Support revenue optimization efforts in partnership with Sales and Revenue Management teams. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and hotel team members. Conduct regular coaching, performance evaluations, and accountability meetings. Promote employee engagement and foster a culture focused on teamwork and guest satisfaction. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention initiatives. Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained across departments. Guest Experience Drive guest satisfaction initiatives to improve review scores and brand metrics. Ensure all guest interactions reflect company hospitality standards. Monitor online guest feedback and implement corrective action plans as needed. Develop service improvement strategies to enhance overall guest experience. Safety & Compliance Ensure hotel safety and security procedures are followed. Participate in emergency response planning and crisis management. Maintain compliance with fire safety inspections, brand audits, and risk management standards. Ensure proper handling of incident reports and workers compensation claims. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum 3-5 years of hotel management experience required. Previous leadership experience in full-service or select-service hotel operations preferred. Strong knowledge of hotel operations, financial reporting, labor management, and guest service standards. Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) and revenue management tools. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays as needed.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
