SALARY RANGE
$50,000.00 - $60,00.00 + Comprehensive Benefit Package
POSITION SUMMARY
The Guest Services Manager is responsible for ensuring all patrons have a positive guest experience at all Erie Events facilities. He / she will develop, implement, and enforce event policies, standard operating procedures, and programs related to the Guest Services department. He/ She will directly oversee the Erie Events Guest Services team and the event activity team supports.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Three (3) years of event experience in a multipurpose facility or in a comparable or related position preferred. Minimum high school education or equivalent. College degree highly preferred with emphasis on hospitality/hotel management. Ability to demonstrate competence in basic math, and excellent written and verbal communication 1-2 years of supervisory experience required.
RESPONSIBILITES
The Guest Services manager will hire, train, schedule, and lead the daily activities of the Guest Services team. He/she will develop, and directs the implementation of; objectives, policies, procedures and work standards. This position will be expected to assist in the budgeting process for staffing in oversee cost control within the Guest Services Department. This role is expected to participate in weekly meetings to ensure thorough communication between all Erie Events departments. He/she will lead, motivate, and inspire the Guest Services team in exceeding guest expectations. Participate in preparing and maintaining budgets, purchasing, and expense controls. Source and purchase supplies and equipment as needed for the effective execution of Erie Events events. Prepare various reports and analysis as needed for various business needs. He/she will conduct annual performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to Guest Services employees. Oversee all payroll functions for the Guest Services Department. Conduct Event Planning activities as needed; VIP packages associated with events, client meetings, preparation of detailed event plans including: written outlines, instructions, and diagrams for events as required. This position will work irregular hours as needed to ensure proper supervision of events. If needed, he/she will act as the manager on duty. Such other duties, functions, and special projects as assigned by the Director of Sports Facilities.
