The Hotel Manager is responsible for the overall operations and performance of Candlewood Suites Pittston. This includes managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction, overseeing financial performance, maintaining operational standards, and supporting the execution of sales initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced, extended-stay hotel environment.Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Staff Management:
Oversee daily hotel operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with brand standards. Lead, train, and motivate the hotel team, fostering a positive work culture. Manage staffing schedules, performance evaluations, and ongoing training initiatives.Guest Experience & Satisfaction:
Ensure the delivery of outstanding guest service across all departments. Address guest concerns promptly, professionally, and effectively. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.Financial & Administrative Management:
Monitor revenue, expenses, and key performance metrics to achieve budget and profitability goals. Prepare operational reports, forecasts, and financial summaries for upper management. Manage inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships efficiently.Collaboration & Sales Support:
Support the sales team with group bookings, corporate accounts, and special events. Collaborate with corporate office and area leadership to implement brand initiatives.Compliance & Safety:
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including fire, safety, and health codes. Maintain brand standards, quality assurance protocols, and audit readiness.Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
3+ years of management experience in an extended-stay or limited-service hotel, preferably within the IHG brand. Proven track record of operational excellence and team leadership.Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Proficient with hotel management systems (OPERA preferred). Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Personal Attributes:
Guest-focused, approachable, and results-driven. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to make sound decisions independently. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster teamwork.Additional Requirements:
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be able to respond to operational issues promptly, including after-hours emergencies.Work Location:
