The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments in a hotel setting. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality laundry services, ensuring that all items are laundered, pressed, and delivered to the appropriate areas in a timely manner. Duties Launder and clean various types of fabrics, including linens, towels, and uniforms, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron items according to established procedures. Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed for delicate fabrics or specialty items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to ensure a safe working environment. Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management. Assist in training new staff members on proper laundry procedures and equipment usage. Qualifications Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of laundering processes, including the use of detergents and fabric care techniques. Ability to operate laundry machinery and perform basic maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality results. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
