Overview Black Desert Resort is an ultra-premium destination resort located in Southern Utah, surrounded by dramatic lava rock landscapes and expansive outdoor spaces. The resort's guest experience relies heavily on the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of exterior and non-housekeeping public areas. The Public Area Manager is an on-site operational leader responsible for all exterior and non-housekeeping public spaces across the resort.

Full-Time Pay Range:
$58,000 - $66,000/year. This is the range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities including but not limited to Lead and manage all public area operations outside of the Housekeeping department's scope. Oversee daily cleaning and maintenance of sidewalks, entry drives, porte-cocheres, parking lots, parking garages, patios, terraces, and pool deck areas. Ensure cleanliness and presentation of pool support spaces including walkways, furniture areas, towel stations, and exterior restrooms where applicable. Manage exterior trash and recycling removal and cleanliness throughout the resort. Oversee cleaning of exterior windows, glass, facades, signage, patios, terraces, and building exteriors. Ensure all public areas are free of debris, spills, hazards, and safety risks at all times. Develop and manage staffing schedules, coverage plans, and task assignments for the Public Area team. Hire, train, coach, and develop public area attendants and leads. Conduct regular inspections of all assigned areas and address deficiencies promptly. Coordinate closely with Engineering, Facilities, Security, Housekeeping, Events, and Pool Operations teams. Support special events, high-occupancy periods, and seasonal demands with adjusted coverage or workflows. Ensure proper use, storage, and inventory of cleaning equipment, vehicles, and supplies. Monitor labor efficiency, productivity, and departmental performance. Ensure compliance with safety standards, equipment use protocols, and resort policies. Respond to guest concerns related to exterior cleanliness, safety, or presentation. Maintain documentation, schedules, inspections, and operational checklists. Uphold and model Black Desert Resort's ultra-premium service and presentation standards. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public area, facilities, grounds, or exterior maintenance operations. Prior supervisory or management experience required. Strong understanding of exterior cleaning, pressure washing, pool deck sanitation, waste management, and surface care. Ability to lead teams in physically demanding, outdoor and wet environments. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience in resort, hotel, campus, or large-scale property environments preferred.
