Job Description

Oversees overall day-to-day hotel operations as delegated by the General Manager. Generates through proper supervision of assigned departments projected revenue levels as well as guest satisfaction. Participates in the development of short term and long term financial and operational plans for the hotel. Ensures that guest satisfaction is consistently obtained. Ensures the efficient and effective operation of the Housekeeping and Front Office Departments. Maintains company standards in all Food and Beverage outlets. Ensures security for the hotel's assets. Remains current on business trends and local activities. Meets assigned departmental budgets and monitors financial statements. Establishes and maintains an appropriate level of community involvement. Ensures proper handling of guest complaints. Assists in the development of new programs which result in an increased level of guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Maintains compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations. Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties. Ensures cross-selling of other Shamin Hotels by hotel staff. Teaching, mentoring, and directing hotel staff. Close working relationship with all department heads. Demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm at all times. Being comfortable with the high level of visibility and the leadership role within the hotel and community. Maintains a safe hotel for all employees and guests by correcting identified safety hazards and reporting incidents immediately, and investigating accidents including corrective actions promptly.
