As a Front Desk Supervisor at Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, you'll create unforgettable first impressions, ensuring every guest feels genuinely welcomed and excited to return. With your leadership and dedication, you'll not only supervise and support our front desk staff but also play a key role in crafting memorable experiences that set us apart. Tucked within historic Lake Geneva, Timber Ridge Lodge at the Grand Geneva Resort, is the only all-season, all-suite, destination of its kind in the Midwest. Featuring 50,000 square feet of year-round, indoor/outdoor waterpark excitement, Timber Ridge Lodge is a family bonding adventure that's soaked in memories. Just 90 minutes from Chicago and 50 minutes from Milwaukee, this property is also home to two championship golf courses, WELL Spa and fitness center, Mountain Top Ski Park, award-winning restaurants, and 1300 acres of picturesque grounds.
What you will be doing:
Supervise front desk staff, reservations, and bell staff as needed, ensuring all daily functions from checklist are completed. Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel. Check guests in and out of rooms. Input and retrieve information routinely from computer system to communicate guest requests. Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guests' needs. Effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts. Respond to guest requests and questions regarding area or hotel, outlet information and services as well as handle guest issues and report complaints to management. Maintain cash handling accuracy including responsibility for House Bank. Other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for:
Previous supervisory and hotel, customer service, front desk or administrative experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills and communication are required. Ability to stand and move throughout the front office and continuously perform essential job functions. Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies. High school diploma or equivalent required. What's in it for you?
