Being detail-oriented, managing time effectively, and having a strong work ethic are crucial for this position. Housekeeping Supervisors collaborate with other hotel departments to promptly address guest needs and requests. A successful Housekeeping Supervisor not only ensures rooms are well-maintained but also demonstrates a positive attitude, excellent teamwork skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding service to enhance the guest experience. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned): To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Assigning housekeeping tasks to staff and inspecting work to ensure that the standards of cleanliness are met Regularly taking inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed Issuing cleaning supplies and equipment to housekeeping staff as needed Oversee the cleaning and upkeep of hotel rooms to ensure standards are met Ensure all areas, such as guest rooms and bathrooms, are properly maintained and cleaned by the housekeeping staff Inspect rooms to ensure linens are changed, beds are properly made, and areas are vacuumed, dusted, mopped, and windows are cleaned Make sure amenities in guest rooms and bathrooms, such as toiletries, coffee, tea, towels, and linens, are replenished as needed Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests and resolve any issues or complaints Work closely with the housekeeping team to achieve departmental goals and deliver outstanding service Uphold hotel standards and procedures to exceed guest expectations, including managing lost and found items, ensuring guest privacy, and securing rooms after cleaning Uphold all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff Engage in training and development opportunities to enhance job performance Adhere to all safety and security procedures to provide a safe environment for guests and colleagues Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and deliver outstanding service Report any maintenance issues or damages in rooms to the appropriate department for timely resolution Follow environmentally friendly practices and procedures to support sustainability effort

Qualifications Requirements:
A minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in hotel housekeeping Minimum age requirement of 18 years
Knowledge and Skills:
Proficiency in multitasking is essential Ability to meet the needs of others in a dynamic and fast-paced setting Possess a friendly demeanor and the ability to address guest requests and concerns promptly and courteously Proficiency in using cleaning equipment and supplies, including vacuums, mops, and disinfectants, to sanitize bathrooms and other room areas Understanding of hotel safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff Capability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Knowledge of safety protocols to handle chemicals Ability to keep track of room supplies, restock as necessary, and maintain an organized work area
