A Housekeeping or Environmental Services Supervisor supervises the staff that provide cleaning and housekeeping services, primarily for rooms and bathrooms in hotels and hospitals. May also work in office buildings, colleges, other institutions or private residences with a large housekeeping staff.
I would add computer skills as a firm requirement , since they will be handling reservations and your POS system. HR can be experience or willingness/ability to learn .
PART-TIME HEAD HOUSEKEEPER / HOUSEKEEPING LEAD - 1 OR 2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Hilltop Tavern & Inn - Apple Valley, CA We are looking for one or two experienced, dependable Head Housekeepers/Housekeeping Leads who take ownership, can lead a team, and understand that this position involves more than cleaning. We are open to hiring TWO qualified people to share the position, hours, and responsibilities. Both must communicate well, work together, and maintain the same standards. This is a hands-on leadership position. You will clean when needed, supervise housekeeping, inspect rooms, help manage daily hotel operations, answer phones, and assist guests and management.
REQUIREMENTS
Housekeeping experience; leadership experience strongly preferred Must be able to lead, organize, delegate, and hold employees accountable Must take ownership and work without constant supervision Able to follow management instructions and established policies Inspect rooms and ensure they meet our standards before guests arrive Professional workplace behavior — no drama, insubordination, or disruptive behavior Maintain strict professional boundaries with guests — no fraternizing, exchanging personal phone numbers, inappropriate relationships, or becoming personally involved in guest matters Must be comfortable using computers and technology Must be able to learn and confidently operate our POS and hotel reservation systems Answer business phones professionally, take reservations, and book rooms Basic administrative and recordkeeping abilities HR experience is a plus , but we are willing to teach the right person who is capable of learning basic employee procedures, documentation, scheduling, and policies Manage housekeeping schedules, supplies, laundry, storage, and room readiness Recognize problems, communicate them promptly, and take initiative to resolve them Must be organized, dependable, and able to lead by example
