Role:
The Housekeeping/Laundry/Central Supply Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall presentation of the facility, contributing directly to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This position involves overseeing the daily activities of the housekeeping team, ensuring that all cleaning standards and safety protocols are consistently met or exceeded. The supervisor will coordinate schedules, manage inventory of cleaning supplies, and conduct regular inspections to maintain high-quality service. Additionally, the role requires effective communication with other departments to address guest requests and resolve any issues promptly. Ultimately, the Housekeeping Supervisor ensures a welcoming and hygienic environment that supports the reputation and success of the establishment.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years' experience in housekeeping, laundry, or central supply, including some supervisory responsibilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous related experience. Certification in hospitality management or related field. Familiarity with inventory management software and scheduling tools. First aid and safety training certifications. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of Housekeeping/Laundry/Central staff to maintain cleanliness and order throughout the facility. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with quality standards. Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to enhance team performance and adherence to safety guidelines. Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages. Collaborate with management and other departments to address guest concerns and improve service delivery. Prepare and maintain reports related to housekeeping operations, including staff attendance and maintenance issues. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
