Responsibilities Supervise daily housekeeping operations, ensuring all rooms and public areas are cleaned efficiently and to standard. Train and mentor housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service excellence. Coordinate with other hotel departments to meet guest needs promptly and effectively. Monitor the use of cleaning equipment and chemical agents, ensuring proper handling in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and industry regulations. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, laundry areas, and public spaces to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment; place orders as needed to ensure smooth operations. Enforce health and safety policies including hotel emergency procedures, heavy lifting protocols, and industrial cleaning standards. Skills Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial experience within hospitality settings. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including floor cleaning, vacuuming, and maintenance of various flooring types. Skilled in handling chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks; familiar with Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, extractors, and other janitorial tools effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach to guest interactions and team leadership. Physical ability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and prolonged standing or walking. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and compliance with health & safety regulations related to industrial cleaning practices.
