Job Title:
Housekeeping Supervisor Position Overview The Housekeeping Supervisor at Aspen Alps plays a critical leadership role in maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and overall quality of guest condominiums and public areas. This position oversees daily housekeeping operations, supports and coaches housekeeping staff, and ensures Aspen Alps continues to deliver an exceptional guest experience consistent with its reputation as one of Aspen's premier luxury resorts. The Housekeeping Supervisor leads by example, maintains high standards, and ensures all rooms and common areas are guest-ready, safe, and impeccably maintained. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, train, and support housekeepers to ensure consistent adherence to Aspen Alps' luxury cleanliness standards.
  • Assign daily housekeeping schedules, room assignments, and priorities based on occupancy and operational needs.
  • Lead by example by assisting with room cleaning and inspections as needed.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to housekeeping staff.
  • Communicate expectations clearly and promote teamwork, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Inspect guest condominiums and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and readiness prior to guest arrival.
  • Ensure high-touch areas are consistently sanitized and safety protocols are followed.
  • Review and collect daily housekeeping worksheets for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor efficient room turnaround times while maintaining quality standards.
  • Report and track maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply needs promptly.
  • Greet guests in a warm, professional manner and address housekeeping-related requests or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with front desk, maintenance, and management to resolve guest issues quickly and effectively.
  • Support guest satisfaction by ensuring rooms meet or exceed expectations.
  • Ensure housekeeping staff safely use cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals according to training and standards.
  • Enforce safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure housekeeping carts, closets, and storage areas are clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new housekeeping staff.
  • Communicate staffing needs, scheduling concerns, or performance issues to management.
  • Support housekeeping operations during peak periods with flexibility and hands-on assistance. Qualifications
  • Previous housekeeping experience required; supervisory experience in a hotel or luxury resort environment strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and support a team.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks, including lifting up to 20-30 lbs, bending, climbing stairs, standing, and walking for extended periods.
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to delivering outstanding guest service.
  • Positive attitude with the ability to address challenges professionally and turn issues into positive outcomes.
