Assistant Housekeeping Supervisor

We're looking for a cheerful, thorough individual to help assist and lead the rooms team at Tru by Hilton - Savannah Airport! The Rooms Team is responsible for: Developing a cleaning team to maintain the hotel in a clean, like-new condition at all times Assisting with the daily operations of the housekeeping department (including arrivals, departures, stayover, and special projects) Communicating with other departments, leaders, and through teamwork, ensuring all guest and hotel needs are met Ensuring staff compliance with policies, procedures and regulations and documenting all required trainings. Training housekeeping team members so that all quality standards and guest expectations are met. Working with supervisor to ensure that the hotel goals and objectives for cleanliness and guest readiness are met A few expectations: Assign cleaning assignments Create staff schedule, keeping in mind the strengths of team and the needs of the hotel Accommodate guest requests so we can say "YES" as often as possible Communicate with team on the occupancy and cleanliness status of guest rooms Coordinate with team to ensure rooms are stripped, cleaned, inspected, and sanitized Prepare special arrivals and departures for airline crew, VIPs, and HHonors guests Maintain a clean, neat storage areas and public spaces Keep lobby game area organized and lobby tidy Engage with guests by being social and fun (including special touches like playing a word game, puzzle, Connect4, or billiards with guests when warranted) A few requirements: Natural interest in people Great leading skills Strong past experience in hospitality, including supervisory experience leading a team Open availability (including weekends, all shifts, and holidays as necessary to meet hotel needs)
