Director of Housekeeping Healthwin Health and Rehabilitation South Bend, IN We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Housekeeping to oversee the housekeeping and laundry operations of our skilled nursing facility. Supervise, train, schedule, and support housekeeping and laundry staff. Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and ensure assigned duties are completed. Monitor cleanliness of resident rooms, common areas, offices, dining areas, and other facility spaces. Ensure proper cleaning and disinfecting procedures are followed. Maintain adequate supplies and manage inventory of housekeeping and laundry products. Inspect work areas regularly to ensure facility cleanliness and quality standards are maintained. Ensure housekeeping practices comply with facility policies, infection prevention standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Coordinate with nursing, maintenance, dietary, and other departments to address environmental needs. Assist with hiring, onboarding, performance management, and staff development. Address resident and family concerns related to housekeeping services in a professional and timely manner. Maintain appropriate documentation, schedules, supply records, and other departmental records. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment. Qualifications Previous housekeeping or environmental services supervisory experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting. Previous experience supervising and scheduling staff. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Knowledge of cleaning, disinfecting, infection prevention, and safety practices. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and leadership. Ability to work independently while effectively managing a team.
