Position Summary:
The housekeeping supervisor must possess a strong attention to detail, be extremely organized, and possess a high level of cleanliness. He/She must meet the physical demands of the job and share the owner's passion for excellence, working under the guidelines of the supervisor and the policies and procedures set forth to promote the property to the community and its guests. The supervisor must be flexible and adaptable due to a changing schedule each day, yet organized and detailed oriented. Honesty and integrity are essential attributes of the team. The supervisor is expected to set an example for the team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide exemplary customer service to all guests and vendors
- Oversee housekeeping staff, including scheduling, reviewing timesheets, approving time off, and assisting with hiring, training and disciplinary action
- Follow specific, established procedures for housekeeping
- Launder towels, sheets, coverlets, robes and linens as directed
- Perform a variety of cleaning duties in guest rooms and public spaces to ensure established standards of cleanliness are maintained
- Perform 2nd checks on rooms after they have been cleaned
- Maintain outside grounds by pulling weeds, mulching, pruning, watering flowers, picking up trash, cleaning windows
- Maintain cleaning and guest supplies inventory, and order supplies as needed to maintain par levels established
- Report required equipment maintenance to the Hotel and Facilities Managers
- Track bonuses for housekeeping staff
- Cover the front desk as needed including answering the phone, making reservations, checking guests in and out, making a game plan for staff to follow, and completing daily duties Physical/Mental Demands The Housekeeping Supervisor will be required to operate a vacuum cleaner, steam mop, blower, wet-dry vacuum, and carpet cleaner to perform the duties of this position.
He/she will be required to be on his/her hands and knees at times and must possess the physical ability to lift bags of refuse, climb and sweep stairs, climb ladders, push and pull carts, lift buckets of water, lift laundry baskets and operate/move the necessary equipment. The Housekeeping Supervisor will also be required to oversee staff and cover shifts as needed on the housekeeping team.
Minimum Qualifications:

Classification:
Non-Exempt Starting Salary:
$13-16/hour, depending on experience, plus bonuses and tips
