Director of Housekeeping

Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive housekeeping policies and procedures to maintain impeccable cleanliness standards across all areas of the property. Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure efficient daily operations and high-quality service delivery. Monitor cleaning schedules, inspect guest rooms and public spaces regularly, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, laundry services, and custodial equipment to optimize resource use. Coordinate with other departments to meet guest needs promptly and resolve any issues related to cleanliness or maintenance. Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching opportunities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. Oversee janitorial services and commercial cleaning contracts to ensure consistent quality standards are met or exceeded. Requirements Must have 5+ years in a housekeeping manager role. Proven supervising experience in housekeeping or custodial management within a hospitality or hotel setting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage diverse staff effectively. Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques, laundry operations, and janitorial best practices. Experience in hotel or hospitality environments with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Familiarity with safety protocols, sanitation standards, and regulatory compliance related to custodial services. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
