Housekeeping Supervisor Responsibilities Plan, organize, implement, and oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments. Ensure the facility maintains a clean, sanitary, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate department employees. Manage staffing needs, assign duties, and address performance or disciplinary concerns as needed. Monitor housekeeping and laundry supplies, equipment, and inventory. Order necessary supplies and equipment as authorized. Ensure department supplies and equipment are properly organized, maintained, and stored. Complete required departmental reports, evaluations, and documentation. Communicate department policies and procedures to employees and other appropriate individuals. Ensure housekeeping practices follow established infection prevention, safety, and facility procedures. Identify and address environmental concerns, including dust, dirt, spills, and potential safety hazards. Promote teamwork, accountability, and high standards of cleanliness throughout the facility. Requirements Environmental services or housekeeping management experience preferred. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to supervise staff, coordinate schedules, and manage multiple priorities. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents.
