Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, laundry, and custodial tasks, to ensure efficient operations. Lead and motivate housekeeping staff by providing clear instructions, training, and ongoing support to uphold cleanliness standards. Monitor cleaning procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, hotel policies, and quality benchmarks. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain consistent standards of cleanliness and presentation. Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to ensure smooth operations. Develop work schedules that optimize staffing levels while accommodating occupancy fluctuations and special events. Foster a positive team environment focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Proven supervising or management experience in housekeeping or janitorial services within a hospitality or hotel setting. Strong background in cleaning techniques, commercial cleaning practices, laundry processes, and custodial work. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively. Knowledge of hotel operations, hospitality standards, and health & safety regulations related to cleaning services. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff and interact professionally with guests and management. Previous experience in housekeeping management or housekeeper supervision is highly preferred. Ability to handle physical tasks associated with cleaning duties including standing for extended periods, lifting supplies, and performing detailed inspections.
