Job Description

Join the Pinecrest team at our brand-new facility in Brainerd as an Environmental Services Assistant Director! Make a daily impact by helping maintain a clean, safe, and inviting environment for our residents, employees, families and volunteers.
Qualifications:
Experience with maintenance, housekeeping and groundskeeping tasks, with knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and supplies, as well as the operation of the maintenance, grounds, and cleaning equipment. Knowledge of chemical use, hazardous waste, and infection control practices. Great communication skills to help promote a positive working relationship with management, employees, residents, and resident's family members. Always display tact and consideration. Self-motivated, with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Knowledge and experience in leadership regarding the areas surrounding Environmental Services. Ability to solve problems and adjust and adapt to unexpected situations. A valid boiler's license is required. Read, write, and communicate in English. Mechanic al background is necessary.
Responsibilities:
Perform housekeeping duties such as disinfecting, dusting, mopping, cleaning mirrors, walls, and floors, emptying garbage, organizing furniture, vacuuming, and other related duties. Support and promote Woodcrest's Hometown Culture. Use supplies per manufacturer guidelines and take care of cleaning equipment such as carpet cleaners, carts, vacuums etc. Keep work area and utility rooms neat, orderly and safe. Report all required improvements and repairs to the Environmental Services Director. Maintain good rapport with management, employees, residents, and resident's family members, while displaying a great deal of patience, tact, and consideration. Refer all resident medical or personal care questions to the nurse in charge. Complete all scheduled duties and special projects as assigned. Perform maintenance and grounds keeping tasks. Assign delegated tasks to those on the Environmental Services Team. Attend meetings with management team and hold meetings with environmental services staff. Other duties as assigned.
