Job Description
Salem Care Center is looking for a full-time, Monday- Friday Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor. This position is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, with a keen eye for quality and a drive to deliver exceptional service. Duties Supervise and coordinate housekeeping and laundry staff to ensure efficient cleaning routines across resident areas, public spaces, and back-of-house facilities. Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to verify cleanliness, safety, and adherence to hotel standards. Train new team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment; ensure proper handling in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols. Enforce sanitation standards by implementing hotel emergency procedures related to health and safety regulations. Oversee manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while maintaining safety guidelines for custodial experience. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly with excellent customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience at all times. Skills Extensive experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within hospitality settings. Proficiency in floor cleaning techniques, floor care maintenance, vacuuming, and industrial cleaning methods. Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures using various equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and other janitorial tools. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation tasks; familiarity with chemical handling regulations. Skilled in manual handling practices including heavy lifting to move furniture or supplies safely. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members. Knowledge of emergency procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), and industrial cleaning standards. Ability to lead a team efficiently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay:
