Job Description

Shift:
2nd Shift | 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Environmental Services / Custodial Manager II to lead housekeeping operations at a leading healthcare facility in Grand Forks, ND. This role is responsible for supervising EVS teams, ensuring hospital cleanliness and infection control standards, and driving high levels of patient, visitor, and client satisfaction. You will play a key leadership role in maintaining a safe, sanitary, and high-quality care environment while managing daily operations, team performance, and service excellence initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage Environmental Services / housekeeping teams in a hospital setting Oversee staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management of custodial staff Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety standards, and healthcare cleaning protocols Maintain clean, safe, and patient-ready environments across assigned areas Partner with Infection Control and hospital leadership to support compliance and quality initiatives Drive patient, visitor, and client satisfaction through consistent service delivery Manage unit operations, reporting systems, and workflow processes Lead departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives Monitor progress toward service goals, compliance requirements, and completion timelines Support an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing team culture Required Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of management experience in housekeeping, custodial services, environmental services, or facilities operations Minimum 2+ years of hands-on EVS / housekeeping experience (healthcare strongly preferred) Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate frontline service teams Strong understanding of cleaning operations, safety standards, and infection control practices Experience managing projects, timelines, and operational priorities Basic computer proficiency (reporting systems, documentation, scheduling tools) Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience Healthcare, hospital, long-term care, or clinical facility environments Exposure to infection prevention standards or patient safety programs Hospitality or regulated service industries with high service-quality expectations Experience improving operational efficiency or satisfaction metrics Schedule & Work Environment On-site role in a hospital environment 2nd shift: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Leadership position with direct impact on patient experience and safety outcomes
