Job Description

Full-Time / Exempt / Pay based on experience Reporting directly to the Health Care Center Administrator, the Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for oversight and coordination of the daily operations for the environmental services department. This role ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations, as well as Menno Haven standards and guidelines. The Environmental Services Supervisor is a working supervisor role, where strong teamwork and leadership skills are essential for success.
Essential Functions:
Oversee and lead the housekeeping department, including daily staff oversight, including but not limited to hiring, orienting, scheduling, following up on resident concerns, and disciplinary reports. Understand and implement basic infection control principles to support Menno Haven's infection prevention program. Conduct regular audits of housekeeping services, ensuring common areas and resident spaces are sanitary, neat, clean, and organized. Report on issues related to equipment, facility conditions, or staffing to the Administrator in a timely manner. Maintain strict confidentiality of resident information and conditions in accordance with organizational policies. Request supplies, chemicals, and equipment within budgetary limitations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred Previous housekeeping and/or laundry experience in a health care center preferred Previous supervisor experience preferred Working knowledge of housekeeping equipment Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with team members, residents, and supervisors Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail Strong problem-solving skills to address concerns or complaints promptly and professionally Basic proficiency in computer systems, including email, scheduling, and record-keeping software Benefits (dependent upon eligibility): Excellent Health, Dental and Vision plans Group Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Loyalty Bonuses Generous PTO 403(b)
