Identify areas requiring cleaning or maintenance attention, ensuring issues are promptly addressed by the appropriate team members. Verify proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment, adhering strictly to safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols. Ensure all cleaning tasks, including floor care, vacuuming, and surface sanitation, are completed efficiently using appropriate cleaning equipment. Monitor compliance with hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines during inspections to promote a secure environment for guests and staff. Document inspection results accurately, providing detailed reports on cleanliness levels, safety concerns, or maintenance needs. Collaborate with housekeeping management to develop continuous improvement strategies for cleanliness standards and operational efficiency. Experience Previous janitorial or custodial experience within a hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and standards is advantageous. Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the safe handling of chemical agents used in cleaning operations. Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or extractors is desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests alike. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during inspections. Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures a secure environment for all occupants.
