Brookview Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our Environmental Services team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is passionate about maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors, and staff while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Position Summary The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the housekeeping department by supervising staff, ensuring quality cleaning standards, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting exceptional customer service throughout the facility. Essential Responsibilities Supervise, schedule, and direct housekeeping staff on all shifts. Train, coach, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping employees. Conduct routine quality assurance inspections of resident rooms and common areas. Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, OSHA regulations, and facility policies. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment. Coordinate deep-cleaning projects and floor care schedules. Oversee buffing, stripping, waxing, and refinishing of floors. Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment. Respond promptly to resident, family, and staff concerns regarding housekeeping services. Collaborate with Nursing, Maintenance, and other departments to provide excellent resident care. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and employee development. Maintain documentation and department records as required. Participate in surveys, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives. Perform housekeeping duties alongside staff when needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, long-term care, or hospital setting preferred. Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of infection control procedures and environmental cleaning standards. Experience with floor care equipment, including buffing, waxing, stripping, and polishing floors. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be dependable, professional, and resident-focused. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment and machinery.
