Memphis, TN Job Details $16 - $17 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Chemical handling safety procedures Customer communication Team training Team motivation (leadership skill) Chemical safety protocols Customer complaint resolution Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable professional to oversee daily housekeeping operations and help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests, residents, and team members. In this role, you will support high standards of cleanliness, coordinate daily tasks, and provide guidance to housekeeping staff to maintain efficient and consistent service. Responsibilities Supervise housekeeping staff and support daily workflow, assignments, and room or area inspections. Ensure cleaning standards are consistently met across guest rooms, public areas, and other assigned spaces. Train, coach, and support team members on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and service expectations. Inspect completed work to confirm quality, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Coordinate with other departments to support smooth operations and timely room readiness. Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and communicate replenishment needs as needed. Assist in scheduling, daily task planning, and coverage adjustments to meet operational needs. Address guest or client concerns related to cleanliness and follow through to resolution when appropriate. Promote safe work practices and ensure proper handling of cleaning products and equipment. Support hiring, onboarding, performance feedback, and disciplinary processes in partnership with leadership when required. Qualifications Previous experience in housekeeping, custodial services, hospitality, or a related field. Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Ability to organize tasks, manage priorities, and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment. Clear communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to train and motivate team members in a professional and respectful manner. Working knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment, and safety procedures. Ability to lift, bend, stand, and move throughout the work shift as needed. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends or holidays, based on operational needs. Preferred Attributes Reliable, proactive, and service-oriented approach to work.
