The hotel offers guests a welcoming, service-driven environment with on-site dining, meeting space, and event capabilities, and Marriott's property information lists 3 event rooms with 4,698 square feet of total event space. Visit us at www.depalmahotels.com Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and service-focused Hotel Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping operation. This role is responsible for overseeing room cleanliness, public area presentation, room inspections, housekeeping productivity, linen controls, and day-to-day department execution while helping ensure the hotel consistently delivers a clean, comfortable, and guest-ready experience. The Hotel Housekeeping Manager plays an important leadership role in the overall success of the hotel by supporting room readiness, associate accountability, training, and service standards. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in hotel presentation, leads by example, communicates well with the team, and understands how much housekeeping quality impacts the guest experience. Responsibilities Lead the day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department, including room attendants, housepersons, laundry support, and public area cleanliness as applicable Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and brand standards are consistently met Support scheduling, staffing, daily room assignments, and productivity management based on occupancy and business needs Train, coach, and hold housekeeping associates accountable for quality, service, and safety standards Help ensure rooms are cleaned, inspected, and released in a timely manner to support arrivals and hotel operations Monitor linen usage, inventory levels, supply controls, and housekeeping expenses Coordinate closely with front office, maintenance, and hotel leadership to support guest needs and room readiness Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns or housekeeping-related service issues Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and room deficiencies clearly and timely Help maintain housekeeping carts, storage areas, linen rooms, and back-of-house spaces in an organized condition Support compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, and hotel cleanliness procedures Assist with hiring, training, and performance development of housekeeping team members Qualifications Required Previous housekeeping leadership, hotel housekeeping, housekeeping supervisor, or related hotel experience Strong understanding of guest room cleaning standards, inspections, linen controls, and housekeeping operations Ability to lead a team, manage daily priorities, and maintain quality in a fast-paced hotel environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays as needed Reliable attendance, professional communication, and strong follow-through Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and support physical hotel operations as needed Preferred Previous experience as a housekeeping manager, head housekeeper, executive housekeeper, or housekeeping supervisor Marriott brand experience or familiarity with branded hotel housekeeping standards Experience with room inspections, labor planning, and housekeeping productivity management Laundry oversight or public area oversight experience Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus in the McAllen market Schedule Flexible schedule based on business needs Weekends and holidays as needed Job Type Full-time Pay Starting at $38,000 per year and up based on experience Benefits Eligible associates may be offered: Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company contribution Paid time off Holiday pay Marriott travel discounts and perks Growth and advancement opportunities with an established hotel management company Join Our Team This is a great opportunity for a hospitality leader who takes pride in cleanliness, organization, team development, and delivering a strong guest experience.
