About the Role The Housekeeping Manager leads housekeeping operations to ensure clean, safe, and welcoming guestrooms and public spaces. This role drives quality standards, team performance, inventory control, and guest satisfaction. Essential Functions Lead daily housekeeping operations for guestrooms, public areas, and laundry (if applicable). Hire, train, coach, and schedule housekeeping team members. Ensure brand cleanliness and presentation standards are met consistently. Conduct room and public area inspections; provide coaching and quality follow-up. Manage housekeeping labor, productivity, and staffing to meet occupancy needs. Oversee inventory, par levels, ordering, and proper use of supplies and linens. Partner with front office and maintenance to support timely room turns and out-of-order room recovery. Monitor guest feedback and support action plans to improve cleanliness scores. Ensure compliance with OSHA and chemical handling standards. Maintain housekeeping logs, checklists, and department documentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience Minimum 2-4 years of housekeeping experience; leadership experience preferred. Hotel housekeeping leadership experience strongly preferred. Education High school diploma or GED required. Skills & Abilities Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent attention to detail and quality control. Ability to manage labor, productivity, and daily staffing needs. Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Professional communication and guest service mindset. Reliable, dependable, and safety-focused. Availability Scheduling may include weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, push carts, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift. Work Environment This position operates in a hotel environment with moderate physical activity and variable pace based on occupancy.
