In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. This position offers an energetic work atmosphere with opportunities to develop your skills in hospitality and custodial services while contributing to a positive guest journey. Duties Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to ensure a pristine environment. Inspect rooms meticulously to verify all cleanliness standards are met, identifying any maintenance or safety issues that need attention. Maintain cleanliness of public spaces such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common areas by performing routine janitorial tasks. Follow established protocols for floor care, including mopping, sweeping, polishing, and carpet cleaning to uphold high standards of hygiene. Assist with laundry duties as needed, including sorting, washing, folding, and storing linens and towels. Report any damages or safety hazards promptly to management to ensure swift resolution. Support team efforts by assisting with inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment. Skills Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services within hospitality or industrial settings. Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including sweeping, mopping, polishing, and carpet maintenance. Previous hotel experience or familiarity with hospitality standards is highly desirable. Ability to perform detailed inspections with a keen eye for cleanliness and safety compliance. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts. Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the day. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues clearly. Great Lakes Management Group (GLMG Hotels) is seeking dependable and detail-oriented team members to join our hotel team as Housekeepers/ part-time room inspector .
Job Responsibilities:
Guest Room Cleaning Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards Make beds, replace linens, and restock towels and amenities Clean bathrooms, dust furniture, vacuum floors, and empty trash Ensure rooms are properly stocked and ready for guest arrivals Housekeeping Operations Follow daily room assignments and cleaning schedules Maintain housekeeping carts and cleaning supplies Report maintenance issues or room damages to management Follow hotel procedures for lost and found items Guest Service Respond politely to guest requests when encountered Maintain a friendly and professional attitude Help create a welcoming environment for guests Team Support Assist with cleaning hallways and public areas when needed Work closely with the front desk and housekeeping team to ensure rooms are ready for arrivals Qualifications Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays (no set schedules) Why Join GLMG Hotels Supportive team environment Opportunity to grow within a hospitality management company Hands-on experience in hotel operations Please speak with Cassandra for further info.
