This role serves as the lead custodial contact for the Marketplace facility, assisting with daily custodial coordination, event support, and overall facility presentation while working alongside the custodial team. The Custodial Lead provides guidance and support to custodial staff, helps coordinate daily operations, and contributes to a positive customer experience for staff, visitors, tenants, and event guests. Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout offices, conference rooms, restrooms, public gathering spaces, entryways, and exterior grounds Perform sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash removal, disinfecting, and other custodial duties Support Marketplace events through room setup, breakdown, monitoring, and post-event cleaning Assist with coordinating daily custodial activities and prioritizing facility needs Monitor facilities and grounds to ensure a safe, welcoming, and professional appearance Maintain custodial inventory, supplies, and organized storage areas Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and sanitation procedures safely and effectively Provide courteous customer service and assistance to visitors, vendors, tenants, and employees Support and provide on-the-job guidance and training to custodial staff Work independently while maintaining strong attention to detail and accountability Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Minimum three years of custodial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Leadership or team lead experience preferred Knowledge of custodial practices, sanitation standards, and cleaning products preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and event support as needed Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds Work Schedule KANA's standard work schedule is 37.5 working hours per week, consisting of 7.5 paid working hours per day plus a one-hour unpaid lunch break (8.5 hours on site per day).
