Job Summary Join our team as a Part-Time Custodian and play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our facilities. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas. Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools to maintain floors and surfaces. Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards. Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling of supplies, furniture, or equipment while practicing safe lifting practices. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, hallways, offices, and common areas to ensure high standards of sanitation. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting as needed to support the upkeep of the building. Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Skills Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial work with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices. Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures. Strong manual handling skills with an understanding of safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky items. Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when necessary. Experience in facilities maintenance or general custodial responsibilities is preferred. Knowledge of safety protocol adherence related to sanitation, chemical handling safety procedures, and industrial cleaning standards.
