Role:
The Porter/Detailer at Joe Bullard Ford in Grove Hill plays a crucial role in maintaining the dealership's high standards of vehicle presentation and customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles, both new and pre-owned, are clean, polished, and ready for display or delivery to customers. The role involves meticulous attention to detail in washing and vacuuming. Additionally, the Porter/Detailer supports the sales department by moving vehicles efficiently and safely throughout the dealership. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall customer experience by presenting vehicles in pristine condition and supporting dealership operations smoothly.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate vehicles safely in various conditions. Physical ability to perform manual labor including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Basic knowledge of vehicle cleaning and detailing techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in automotive detailing or a similar role. Familiarity with automotive products and tools used in detailing. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills to coordinate with service and sales teams. Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends if necessary.
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough cleaning and detailing of vehicles, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and interior cleaning, to meet dealership standards. Safely move vehicles to desired locations on the lot and detail areas. Inspect vehicles for cosmetic defects and report any damage or maintenance needs to the sales manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailing area and equipment. Assist with lot organization by parking vehicles in designated areas and ensuring the lot is tidy and presentable.
