Operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, polishers, carpet cleaners, and other janitorial tools efficiently and responsibly. Conduct manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy equipment or supplies to ensure proper safety procedures are followed. Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas by dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces. Apply floor care treatments like waxing or sealing to preserve flooring integrity and appearance. Assist with environmental services tasks to uphold health standards in high-traffic or sensitive areas. Skills Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial roles with knowledge of janitorial best practices. Skilled in floor care techniques including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, carpet cleaning, and floor refinishing. Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and understanding the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper manual handling techniques. Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Knowledge of environmental services standards to ensure compliance with health regulations. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cleaning tasks efficiently.
