Job Description
The Sanitation Lead is responsible for overseeing daily sanitation operations while ensuring a safe, clean, and compliant work environment. This role supports distribution activities, promotes adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and assists in team coordination and training. Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all team members follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain a safe working environment; identify and report safety or operational concerns to management.
- Lead and support sanitation and housekeeping efforts to ensure the facility meets cleanliness and regulatory standards.
- Ensure the shift consistently follows good housekeeping practices and sanitation protocols .
- Provide clerical support to review sanitation inventory, review shift and pre-operational reports
- Act as a point of contact during the shift for sanitation-related issues. Qualifications
- Previous experience in sanitation, preferred.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Ability to lead by example and promote a team-oriented environment.
- Good organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills. Lead the sanitation team to ensure cleanliness and safety of the facility
- Participate in cleaning activities
- Develop and implement sanitation procedures that comply with industry and regulatory standards.
- Train and educate sanitation team on proper procedures and safety protocols
- Collaborate with departments to ensure sanitation procedures do not interfere with production schedules
- Document and maintain records of sanitation procedures and inspections.
- Conduct equipment inspections after sanitors have completed cleaning tasks and provide feedback to sanitors and the bakery
- Investigate and resolve any sanitation related complaints or issues
