What they do
A Janitor or Cleaner provides cleaning and basic maintenance in buildings such as schools, offices, stores, hospitals or hotels. Cleans and polishes floors, removes trash, vacuums carpets, washes windows, cleans bathrooms, stocks building supplies such as light bulbs and paper towels and performs minor repairs as needed. Holds keys for rooms and building entrances and locks or unlocks them as needed.

Job Description
Shift:
Monday- Friday 12:30PM-9:00PM Pay:
$17.45 + $1.00 = $18.45 per hr What's the Short Version? The Facilities I, DC conducts housekeeping and janitorial duties that help ensure we maintain a safe and clean environment for employees and customers. What Will You Be Doing?- Daily cleaning and sanitizing of building to include, but not limited to, trash removal, sweeping, and mopping of floors in restrooms and break room, vacuuming carpets in offices and showroom.
- Restock supplies in restrooms and break room as needed.
- May be required to maintain a daily log of tasks assigned and completed.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Comply with all policies and standards What Are We Looking For?
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of six months experience in a related field
- Should be able to read, write, and have sufficient ability to identify label information and verbally communicate with staff in an appropriate manner.
- Demonstrated ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require.
- Knowledge of floor care, floor care chemicals, sanitizers and building maintenance equipment preferred.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills; demonstrating the ability to multi-task and prioritize daily responsibilities.
- Must comply with all internal Personal Protective Equipment requirements.
- Understand how to read a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and know the locations of the MSDS books within the facility.
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to recognize areas that need immediate attention and respond promptly.
- Self-starter with proficient initiative
- Ability to work efficiently, with minimal supervision.
- Able to work both independently and within a team.
- Comprehends verbal and written instructions.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Overtime as required, which may include weekends.
