This position is for a Part-Time Custodian at The Learning Center. Part-Time Position (less than 20 hours); 9 months; Hours are 2:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. Wage per the Classified Salary Guidelines, the experience will be considered The position reports directly to the LC plant foreman

GENERAL STATEMENT OF POSITION'S PURPOSE
To play an integral part in ensuring a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient environment for students to learn and develop.
EDUCATION AND / OR TRAINING
Less than a high school diploma MSDS and blood born pathogens training .
EXPERENCE
Less than one year experience in custodial work is preferred Ability to communicate and work well with staff, parents and children.
DEMONSTRATE KNOWLEDGE / PROFICIENCY OF EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, MATERIALS AND SKILLS

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
May be required to alter working hours to perform regular assigned duties Deliver equipment and supplies Cleans restrooms as needed Setting-up and taking-down of all school-related activities and events. Moves furniture and equipment as needed Raises the United States Flag before school and retires the flag after school hours. Report's safety hazards and the need for major and minor repairs. Keeps grounds free rubbish. Sweeps, vacuums, dusts, and empty trash as needed. Cleans corridors, when warranted, during the day. Assists the maintenance technician. Assists with securing the buildings Performs other related duties as assigned. Communicate with Supervisor when problems occur. Perform other related duties as assigned.
